Question:

How long is the healing process after facelift surgery?

Answer:

Some swelling and bruising will be evident following surgery. After the dressings are removed the day following the procedure, some swelling will be evident; however you will be socially presentable in about 1 week. Stitches are removed in 7 to 10 days. Pain in general is minimal, but you will feel some tightness in the neck and face for the first two weeks following facelift and neck lift surgery. Makeup can be worn in 7 days. It is recommended that hair be dyed prior to surgery, so as not to irritate incisions in the immediate period following a facelift.
